I'm working on a map page to show where photographs were taken,
http://www.pictures-of-paradise.com/map_grab.php
When a picture is viewed, the image can then be clicked to return to
the map page using Javascript History.Go(-n). The problem I have is,
if the client has moved the center or changed the zoom of the map,
clicking the image returns the map to it's initial center and zoom
level.
The code making my page is very patchy since I am learning as I go
since I am no expert (especially using Javascript) and I am hesitant
to post my question here as the answers my go over my head, but I
would appreciate some ideas that I can work on.

I have read the suggestion of opening the link in another window or
tab, but this is not satisfactory for afew reasons that would be too
wordy to go into here, unless the reasons are required later...

Hopefully
Peter
