I really appreciate the help you are giving. I have re-added the onload function but the problem is the same as before.
I have made another change. I mentioned above that each category loads a different page. I have changed this so that each category refreshes the original index page. I was hoping that when doing this the map would be remembered in the browser history and not throw the error but no joy. (This was a natural progression of my map anyway, I just hadn’t done it yet when I ran into this problem.) Thanks again.
