Hi Ross. Thanks for the reply
The functionality on the "maps.google" page is very good, and is already all there, rather than needing to be re-invented, so what I think would be the simplest thing to want to do is to copy the source code from this map - http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=116647690324647040095.00045625c54c43548c64c&t=h&z=6 onto a HTML page, and add my API key to it to make the whole thing work. That's the simplistic and rather romantic view, but one which I suspect can't be done quite as easily. Or can it? Viewing the source code of the Google page is a nightmare, and I would rather know if a job is possible or not before wasting time on a wild goose chase. The link to "embed" the map provides a limited functionality map and a link to the "bigger map" which takes people off my site and onto Google. The reason why I want to take the map onto my own site is that I want to develop tabbed info windows with additional content in them, which I can't seem to do on the Google domain. Likewise I'd like to keep stuff like the traffic and weather overlays which are all built in to the "maps.google" page. That said I'd want to keep the branding to my own site and to drop the Google page header. Needless to say, having created all the map pins with their info on them. I'd like that data to be carried forward as well. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
