It appears you are onto something.

It is the poly1131 which possibly crashes IE. I am not sure it is the
encoded polyline since the individual polyline on the following link
displays properly.

Tomorrow I will need to test whether the problem is this individual
polyline or perhaps just that I have exceeded some capacity in IE.
