@Andrew: Thanks! that seems to have fixed the problem. @Mike: I know - it's really rough. I was thinking about using your GeoXml object, but part of the point of this script is to have it be something super-short that can just be dropped onto a web page, so I didn't want the extra overhead of the 2nd external download. That said, I was pretty tempted. Also, your page on capturing the addOverlay events is how I figured this out. Thanks!
