Google Licensing doesn't seem to contain any exceptions for 'academic
assigments', so I expect you're still breaking the terms.  Maybe your
tutors don't know that they're asking you to do that?

Difficult to see why posting a link to a sample of your problem (not
necessarily your whole project) would be violating 'academic
integrity', unless you mean that you shouldn't be asking for help and
might get found out!    I shouldn't worry about your competitors
lifting your code, it doesn't work properly after all.

Just make a demo of your issue - many people even find when they make
a demo or simple extract they actually find the problem.
