Hello,

I'm working on a project where i'm developing an application that
makes use of Google Maps.

In this app, i need to calculate the real distances between two points
(lat, long in most cases). (real = not short distance between two
points = not straight line), but, as i said before is a NON-web based
on java application. So, it's possible to do that ? I was thinking in
make a javascript code that use javascript google maps api to
calculate this distances and write results to a file (or something
like that) but this solution is not very fair.

Exists any other solution to my problem? Maybe using another API that
allows me to calculate this distances.

Thanks.
