I wouldn't say that. Removing the parameter was the last resort: did
you try (a) and (b) before doing that?

Operating without the sensor parameter means that you are operating
outside the Terms of Service, which require its use. Many sites won't
have got round to updating their maps to include that parameter; but
you had. You really shouldn't just take it out.

If you had tried (a) and (b) and it still didn't work, it would
indicate there's a bug in Google's server-side code which probably
ought to be raised.
