Instead of
zoomInDiv.appendChild(document.createTextNode("Zoom In"));
create am <img> element. Either like this
var zoomInImage = document.createElement("div");
zoomInImage.src = "zoomIn.gif";
Or
zoomInDiv.innerHTML = '<img src="zoomIn.gif">';
Caution: if you use a PNG file with transparency, you'll need to check
to see if the browser is MSIE and if so use the AlphaImageLoader instead
of using <img>.
