It's probably a timing thing. Chrome does more things at the same time
in order to run faster, and it looks like it gets to the Javascript
where you create the map before it has read the CSS that should be
applied to the map div.
Try telling the API how big the map is going to be:
var map = new GMap2(document.getElementById("map"),{size : new
GSize(520,460)});
