Bummer. I guess you didn't do what I suggested.
1. you put the maps api script between the </head> and the <body>
tags, not valid or recommended.
2. you put this:

if (GBrowserIsCompatible()) {
var map = new GMap2(document.getElementById("map1"));
var point = new GLatLng(33.465607,-111.974033);
var marker = new GMarker(point);
map.setCenter(point, 13);
map.addOverlay(marker);

between the </head> and the <body> tag. It should be just before the
</body> tag.
3. your <body> tag is:
<body onload="initialize()" onunload="GUnload()">
not:
<body onunload="GUnload()">
