To work around having a dynamic IP address you can sign up for a free
alias from http://www.dyndns.com/

You'd need to install DynDNS's IP updater utility software on your PC
too.
Some routers have a built in function that can be used to keep a
DynDNS account updated with your current IP address so there's no need
to install the utility on your PC.
(My Netgear DG834GT router keeps my DynDNS account updated with my
current IP address for example).

Then get an API key for your DynDNS alias and your maps will work fine
- as long as you use your DynDNS alias to connect to them that is.
