Note: Whatever is underneath the map will show through. In this example the div has a plain backgroundColor = "#660000". Note: MSIE doesn't support partial transparency and partial opacity at the same time. So if you have a tile layer with partially transparent tiles (like the upper layer of G_HYBRID_MAP) the opacity setting is ignored in MSIE.
