Specifically, this piece of CSS changes the transparent parts of all
your images to almost pure white.

img {
        background: #FAFAFA;
        border: 1px solid #DCDCDC;
        padding: 5px;
}

In particular, the click target of your marker should be completely
transparent, but that CSS makes it opaque white, and you end up not
seeing the marker image underneath.
