I noticed that on google maps you can use "near" and "closest" in the
address search field to get, for example, restaurants "near" the World
Trade Centre:

Example:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=restaurants+near+world+trade+centre&sll=40.914128,-73.836427&sspn=0.513696,1.235962&ie=UTF8&ll=40.712687,-74.007854&spn=0.016102,0.038624&t=h&z=15

Does the API support this sort of searching? I've looked through the
documentation but haven't seen an example of this sort of thing that
doesn't reply on a (non-google) database of points.

Thanks in advance :)
