The whole idea of the Google Maps API is to use Javascript within html
to provide a widely customisable map system. If you want to be limited
to html and static systems, thats up to you, but don't criticise a
system that you apparently don't understand.

Otherwise, please give some examples of implementations that you
believe are vastly superior to the developments that are linked to in
the Google Maps API documentation. Then we may be persuaded by you
arguments...
