The current version of the API contains code for the new map types G_MAPMAKER_NORMAL_MAP G_MAPMAKER_HYBRID_MAP and the map type set G_MAPMAKER_MAP_TYPES but that code is currently disabled by a loader token.
Until that gets switched on, I don't think there's anything you can do.
