I suggest starting with Step 3, since that's quite common.


If you're only experiencing the problem on your own Maps API page, then 
you're probably doing something wrong, like putting the lat/lng 
coordinates in the wrong order when you centre the map, causing the map 
to attempt to display imagery for a location North of the North Pole.
