Thanks a lot. It worked!

I have one more question as my Google Map is getting more and more
sophisticated.

As I mentioned in my first post, my vessel is reporting it's position
on a given interval. I now trace my vessel with a polyline from point
to point, and indicate it's heading by using your tip.

Thing is, though, that my trace polyline is sometimes going straight
across islands... Is there a "built-in" sensor in Google Maps which
knows which positions is land and which is water?? I'm thinking they
allready know where all roads are, as they have the "get directions"
functionality.. My thought was if I could give my polyline an
attribute like "avoid land"...

But I guess I'll just have to set that on my wishlist for xMas
2050 :-)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated though..
