(noob) I followed a tutorial for storing googlemap markers inside a
MySQL database, and then retrieving them for the map through an XML
file. I was able to get that working:

I then followed another tutorial for creating a cookie that would
store the map-state while the user browsed the site. I was able to get
that working as well: http://pivcec.dyndns.org/geowiki/map/map.html
The problem is that when I try to insert my code for retrieving
markers through XML, then the page does not work...I also don't know
how to insert the code for recognizing custom marker types. Please
help.
