Actually, I think Issue 1006 is relevant. http://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=1006 I do wish Google wouldn't push versions from 2.x to 2 when problems are correctly reported. Issue 1006 still hasn't been acknowledged. If you agree that your problem is related, add a comment and a star to the issue.
