What actually is the URL of the page you are having problems with? You should not be using such an explicit address for registering for the API key.
Have a look at http://mapki.com/wiki/FAQs#Key_Issues Try registering for c.na6.visual.force.com with no directory. Beware, I tried to go to that URL and was met with a redirection to a logon page on a different domain. If your actual map pages are redirected to a different domain you need to register your key for that domain. TOS require that map pages be available to all for free!
