OK I will just keep plugging away, I have used staticmaps in another
page which shows fine in FF and not in IE.. different problem, but
still messed up! I am really frustrated with IE at the moment as all
of the scripts have been based on the examples supplied on the
GoogleMaps API documentation pages..

I agree though this is probably more Javascript and IE related than
the API, just that it only happens when I call the Google API's
Hmmmm.....
