I didn't say that, I was pointing out that if you run your own code
requiring API functions before you have loaded the API you may get
funny results.  As they're funny results I'm not going to predict what
they might be ... but unlikely to be diplsacements, yup!

Bear in mind we cannot see what you're complaining about, the example
you provided for us is still plotting in Antartica.

Markers 'off' by a fixed amount of pixels ... Images are different
size to default ... icon anchor not changed to suit?
