thanks Marcelo, i solved the "this.pixelOrigin[zoom]" problem by
setting custom projection to 18 (http://groups.google.co.in/group/
Google-Maps-API/browse_thread/thread/a0595dfd039f287c).
Now i don't have anymore errors in the firefox error console.
Still, rectangles are not clickable...
