I been trying to find that information too. My impression is that
there is no javascript api to the GPS data of those phones.
Google Maps in iPhone does not based on javascript api. It is an
application. That is the way Apple does things.
Nokia paid a huge amount of money when buying Navteq. They are
inclucing offline maps in their phones. Their web maps (competitor to
Google Maps) needs a browser plugin.

I don't expect either of those companies releasing GPS apis.
Android phones are something that you should keep on eye.
