So your mobile browser can't render the map image you're specifying. Make sure you specify an image type which the mobile browser can cope with. See the documentation: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/staticmaps/ Image types are specified with format= and a number of filetypes are available. The default is GIF, which every mobile browser should cope with. As you haven't given a URL for anyone else to try, it's not possible to say definitely what's going wrong.
