You can, but it is not recommended. There are quotas and a "speed limit" when using the GDirections object. > I have over a 1000 rows of data with latitude and longitude for point > A to point B. > Can I run GDirections passing in the latitude and longitude for point > A and B and get the road distance for each row? Yes. But as previously mentioned, you probably don't want to do that every time the page loads. See this page on Mike Williams' tutorial: Part 17 Geocoding multiple addresses http://econym.org.uk/gmap/geomulti.htm -- Larry > > I'm not sure of the limitations. > > Thank You > Jerry > > On Feb 9, 11:59 am, Rossko <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > > When I get my distance in > > > miles i'm not sure if it is a stright line from point A to point B or > > > is it the actual road distance from the two points? > > > We're not sure either, it depends how/who/what you're asking for the > > distance and we can't see how you're doing that from here. > > > 'road distance' is available from GDirections > > straight line distance is available directly from GLatLngs > > > cheers, Ross K- Hide quoted text - > > - Show quoted text - --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
