I doubt you can get access to the nodes that Google use to do 'shortest path' analysis. If you are looking at a small local area, you might have to set up the graph yourself. A nice practical application especially when you consider the milllions of nodes actually available and how one has to programmatically select a small set that can be used to solve the shortest path problem.
