Thank you for the reply. I apologize for not making myself more clear. I am trying to make available a drop down box for the user to select a type to their input: whether its a Yard sale, Home sale, or a simple complaint. After which I'll make the kml output different marker types based on user input of 'type'. The latter should be no problem due to Pamela's example. Its the first part I'm having issues with. Making changes to the syntax as seen in Sample 1 goes from a working 'user input' sample to a non working one. My first assumption is my syntax changes the array. I've tried different variations of changes to the array but thus far unsuccessful.
