I have a data set of 3,000 points and am looking for a way to display the points on a map through user defined query. Not neccessarly showing all of them at once since the points are in the same general area. I already have the lat/lng for each of the points. As I have looked around this group I have seen a few people recommend using mySQL. I haven't ever used mySQL so, I am not sure how to integrate that into my website with the google maps. Is mySQL something I can use on my personal computer, do I need to install any software to implement mySQL?
