I've never seen that before, both maps.google.com and the API use "mt" 
for me.

It's interesting that the "vt" version spells it "Hamman St", which 
agrees with the reverse geocoders, but the normal "mt" version spells it 
"Hammon St".

Were you doing something weird when the happened?
