Looks like it, according to the documentation. http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/reference.html#GMapUIOptions I'm rather surprised that the docs have been updated before the API is officially released: that's probably a first (and rather welcome!) But it would probably have been better to mention a minimum version number in the blog post.
