I have a pretty successful Google Maps microwave link planning
application which is totally free for anyone to use. It consists of a
Line of Sight part here
http://members.chello.at/stephen.joung/indexDistanceElevation.html
and a Link Calculation part here
http://members.chello.at/stephen.joung/indexMW_Distance20.html

Several of my users have requested to be able to save their links, ie
coordinates, Tx power, Rx threshold etc, and so I am developing a PHP/
MySQL database to store this information. However, since the host of
my webpage doesn't support PHP I will have to store the data on
another server which will mean additional costs for myself.

To recover these costs I am considering adding an additional "Save
link" button which will only be available to registered users who will
pay a fee. This button will be on the same page as the google maps but
regular users will have full access to all other features. Is this in
accordance with the terms of use of the free API?

Regards,

Steve.
