You're sort of referring to a "road sticky" system.

It would be better performed using your own database, using Google's
through the routing system would be problematic on several fronts,
mostly regarding the terms. Using your GPS tracks from vehicles for
"vehicle tracking" purposes without the Enterprise license is also
prohibited, so you're kind of stuck.

If you had your own streets database and used a different mapping
system, like Open Layers and OSM, you would be able to do it without
impinging on the Google terms.
