I have a KMZ file that displays a set of polygons with each successive polygon drawn over the other. The url for this file is as follows http://www.noaa.inel.gov/html/hysplit.kmz . This file displays correctly in Google Earth. The colors of the polygons from outer to inner are as follows: gray, yellow, orange, red.
When I try to display this in Google Maps the color scheme is not interpreted correctly. I am using <styleUrl> to apply the color to each polygon. Does this work in Google Maps and if not, what is the preferred approach for apply colors to filled polygons in a KML file that will work in Maps and Earth.
