The point I placed on the map is supposed to be on the bottom left corner, given my coordinate restraints outlined above. I guess its based on a default system of -90 to 90, -180 to 180. I somehow need to change this to match the boundaries of my game world's map, which is 0 to -40 N/S and -20 to 20 E/W So then I can plot coordinates from game directly to the map without any crazy math to convert them. Also, I cant figure out why my map is repeating to the left and right over and over...
