I am not sure if this is the right place to query about the difference between cities and towns as defined by Google maps, but i will give it a shot.
I am working as a BA on a project to migrate some functionalities of an application to a newer application. One of the requirement is to migrate the Get Direction functionality. The existing application gives user choice to get direction based on Town, City, LAt/Long etc. What I need to know is the difference between a Town and a City as defined in Google maps? Are they really different? It would be great if someone could spell out the definition or point me to a doc where I can get hold of that stuff.
