Not sure what you're finding, but I find that if I choose your
locations they are in the sea near the Seychelles. Sheffield may be a
nice place, but it's not a patch on a tropical island!

The coordinates for Paris are shown as [2.351019, 48.856662, 0]
whereas Sheffield is at [54.0084911,-2.7901806, 0]. Don't forget that
KML has a different standard.

There was a Javascript error on loading the page as well, but having
ignored that, it worked.
