FeedValidator does accept

<kml xmlns="http://earth.google.com/kml/2.0";>

but Google still doesn't like the file after the change, but it won't
say why.

I downloaded a copy of the map to my own web server to look at the
issue and what I find curious, and maybe it's my misunderstanding of
the way GGeoXML works, is that my web server never receives a request
for the data file. There's a GET request from my browser for map.html,
but there is no subsequent GET request for data.xml.

Since GGeoXml requires that the file be located on a publicly
available server I expected to see a GET for the data file from a
Google server, and there is none (a Google server did GET the file
when I substituted my path for yours in the maps.google.com link
previously mentioned). If a Google server is supposed to be GETting
the file, and it doesn't, that would explain why none of the data in
the file is added to the map.
