This is a well known problem. Disable Firebug and everything will work fine. There is some sort of fix available, search this forum for the topic and you should be able to find it.
You could have saved yourself a lot of hand wringing by searching this discussion group for your problem. It has been discussed numerously in the last week on many threads. In the future, please read and follow the posting guidelines. They are there to help you find answers quickly.
