One problem is that you have not given any details. It may well be that it's not possible to walk the route you specify. I can get walking directions in Germany, so the facility works, which indicates that it's your code which doesn't. Please follow the posting guidelines and give a link to demonstrate the problem. You can give any address in Germany if you really want to hide the actual data you're using: just ensure that the page fails in the same way.
