Hi All,

I am developing a site on a test webserver behind a firewall. I have a
local IIS server with no DNS, so I have added an entry to my hosts
file to mimic DNS. Took this exact domain and generated the api key
for it on the google site. I copied the entire script tag that the
google page generated and pasted it into my code. So far, this and the
basic code from the hello world tutorial are the only blocks of code
on the page. When I run the page, I get the error that the API key is
incorrect - is this because the google servers need to be able to do a
ping against the Domain to see if its live? Will using a Hosts file
entry behind a firewall not work with the google maps api during
testing?

Thank you
D
