You can also do it with cookies: http://maps.forum.nu/gm_main.html?lat=37.649034&lon=-96.855469&z=4&mType=5 Visit the page, move around, change something, leave the page, come back later, and the map is as you left it. (If you accepted the cookie, that is) ;-)
