Hey there, I am trying to get a latitude and longitude coordinate from the county name of a given state and country. Here is a link to my javascript code:
Here is an example location I want geocoded: ,Allegany County,Maryland,,United States I am using a query to the google server like this: http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?q=#address#&output=xml&key=#GMAP_KEY# Where that address above is the #address# variable. According to the website: http://www.convertunits.com/distance/county/Allegany+County,+MD The latitude is suppose to be 39.621909 and the longitude is suppose to be -78.802613. Google is returning a latitude of 39.6255251 and a longitude of -78.6114999. These coordinates are close but a little bit off. Am I passing the address in the correct format to Google? Thanks for any suggestions to get more accurate results.
