Excellent! I've combed through, and got the labels to show on
mouseover for polygons, but I've uncovered a different issue. It seems
that the markers on my map don't have labels, ever.

I tried with a fresh version of geoxml, and got the same results
(http://template.ttu.edu/map/labels2.php), so I don't think it's any
of my modifications, but any help would be appreciated!
