If the images are not geo related, but are just some sort of picture
you want to view using the API, then you'll have to figure out an
arbitrary set of bounding boxes for the images (SW and NE corners in
latitude and longitude) and then use that to cut them up. A good
primer would be to understand the tile system and the various
components such as zoom, tile numbering system, pixels coordinates vs.
latitude/longitude and how these things relate. Once you understand
this, creating a tile set at various zooms will be much easier.
