I made thousands of overlays (eg..;polyline)on the Gmap,as a result ,the browser crashed!
By the way, the OS is WinXP sp2, IE 6.0 browser, and the key point: I applied the AJAX to get the polyline data(lat/lon of points) asynchronously from the Servlet! The response is xml format about 5500 records of lines! And I put all the lines on the map at a time! WHy does browser overload while loading overlays of polyline massively ?? Does the number or type of overlays affect running speed of the browser?? Or my ajax isn't properly utilized? Or other causes??
