Yes, that's just the usual error when you use a key that's not
registered for the domain. However, that doesn't really mean anything
usually. I'm pretty sure that's not causing the error. If Google Maps
intentionally fails if no valid key is used, it wouldn't work in other
browsers (which it does) and you would never be able to develop map
applications locally (you would not get a key for localhost).
