Yes, it turns out there is a bug going on in the "Earth" view for polygons to appear, which is good that it's getting resolved. I thought I was going mad.
Thor, I understand how to download the kml file to a map with the "view in google earth" feature , but to get "my maps" to host the kml from the google server, I had to do modify the link a little bit to make it work. So - Is there anywhere in "my maps" to just host the kml file (so that it can be imported into a google api map)? For example, in the link you provided on April 8th, the full link is: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&t=h&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=105439669111031191454.0004661f36d269203a1a0&output=kml For a different "my maps" that I wanted to test, the link to the map is: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&oe=UTF8&start=673&num=200&msa=0&msid=105439669111031191454.000466f907c48b0db70f1&ll=17.14079,97.558594&spn=99.444669,156.796875&t=h&z=3 However, I needed the .kml file only to import it onto my google api maps html page. In order to do this, I had to use a lot of trial and error to figure out what to change the code to based on the example you provided above. The end result ended up being: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&t=h&msa=0&msid=105439669111031191454.000466f907c48b0db70f1&z=2&output=kml So I guess I'm wondering how you knew what the link would be for he "output=kml" version of the link you provided the other day? Thanks again for everyone's help. I hope I don't come across as pissed as I think I do. I really am learning a lot and appreciate everyone's guidance.
